PGA Professional Peter Finch is one of the most popular golf instructors in the world. The affable Manchester-based coach has exploded onto screens, tablets and phones across in the world with his YouTube Channel full of helpful tips, equipment reviews and travel vlogs. More than 200,000 golfers are subscribed and that number is growing fast. In June, Pete spent some time here at Thorpeness to film a new series of instructional videos and play in the Stanley McLean charity golf day to raise funds for EACH (East Anglian Children’s Hospices). The first of Pete’s videos filmed here at Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel is all about short game and getting cleaner more consistent contact when chipping around the greens.

There are some great tips in there from Pete and you absolutely need to pitch and chip well around the greens on our James Braid designed heathland course. Subscribe to Pete’s YouTube Channel, https://www.youtube.com/peterfinchgolf, for more videos and free tips filmed at Thorpeness. Later in the year, Pete will be taking on The Jazzy Golfer in a head-to-head challenge match at Thorpeness and checking out the best places to explore on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. As long as Pete keeps it out of the heather and the gorse, he looks like he’s got the short game to succeed. Keep checking our golf blog for more fun Pete Finch coaching content.
