Thorpeness is great for a Summer break. Either to play golf on an inclusive package or for a more flexible visit, stay on bed and breakfast rates and add golf and meals as required.
Dinner may be taken in the restaurant or choose a lighter meal from the new Patio Bar menu. On warm days dine al fresco on the terrace.
The highlights of this Summer include the famous Aldeburgh Music Festival in June and the Proms in August. Also there is the Aldeburgh Carnival on 15th August followed by Thorpeness Regatta and spectacular fireworks on the 21st.
Boating on The Meare, cycling along the coast and playing tennis are alternatives to golf. The hotel offers both boat and cycle hire and free tennis excluding July and August.
Later in the year there are popular special inclusive packages for the Christmas and New Year period. The rates for 2008 have recently been published.
Other events include July Family Golf Break, July Over 50's Tennis Break, Sequence Dance, Scrabble, Over 55's and Mixed Couples Golf Breaks. There is always something happening at Thorpeness.
