We celebrate in traditional style on Christmas Eve with Carols, Canapes and Champagne before dinner and dancing. A Bucks Fizz breakfast on Christmas Day will perk you up for a bracing walk, golf or cycling followed by lunch, afternoon tea and a light buffet supper. On Boxing Day there is a competition for the golfers or relax at the hotel or visit fashionable Aldeburgh. Return for a snack lunch and in the evening join us for the prizegiving and dinner.
There are also special rates between 27th and 30th December.
The 3 star Thorpeness Hotel is situated in a peaceful location next to the Meare and 5 minutes’ walk from the beach. As soon as you arrive, you can’t help but leave the stresses of everyday life behind you. Offering traditional hospitality throughout the year and operating to the highest of standards, facilities include thirty spacious and comfortable bedrooms some with new bathrooms, many of which have views of the Meare or the golf course.

Boating on The Meare, cycling along the coast and playing tennis are alternatives to golf. The hotel offers both boat and cycle hire and free tennis excluding July and August.
