The 3 star Thorpeness Hotel is situated in a peaceful location next to the Meare and 5 minutes’ walk from the beach. As soon as you arrive, you can’t help but leave the stresses of everyday life behind you. Offering traditional hospitality throughout the year and operating to the highest of standards, facilities include thirty six spacious and comfortable bedrooms many of which have views of the Meare or the golf course.

The 18 hole par 69 golf course has recently been upgraded. The coastal location experiencing some of the best UK weather makes this an excellent all year round course. Over the last three years, on average, the golf course has been closed for only three days per annum.

We are delighted that the English Golf Union Seniors Championship will be held at Thorpeness in May 2012, with competitors playing at both Thorpeness and Aldeburgh golf courses.

The hotel also attracts walkers,cyclists, and birdwatchers. It's a great venue for a short break.
