Boating on the scenic Meare at Thorpeness is a fun and safe activity for all ages, all within a stunning setting. Waters are never over three feet deep, providing a haven of water-based fun for children, whilst adults can sit back, relax, and take in the beauty on show. One for admirers of quirky architecture. Formerly the village’s water tower, Thorpeness founder Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie ingeniously disguised the building as an overgrown house which is still in use today and available for holiday makers. Set in one acre of private grounds, the House in the Clouds overlooks Thorpeness Golf Course, Thorpness Meare and the sea.
